harbour facilities

Harbour facilities are user pay.

During peak times expect congestion and limited availability.

Use of the facility constitutes your agreement to the harbour rates and policies as amended from time to time.

Harbour property is under 24-hour video surveillance and has live streaming webcams.

Children should be with an adult on premises and children under 6 should wear life vests on the dock.

All dogs must be on leash, under owners’ control, and cleaned up after.

Anti-social behaviour is frowned upon.

No camping on harbour property.

Special services are available only with an access card and paid moorage- these include waste management area (garbage, recycling, used oil, and shower).

Dock access is gated, and a keycard is required for access between 8pm- 6am.

Keycards are available with paid moorage for $20 deposit / card.

The Authority does not guarantee access to or condition of facilities.

We do not take custody of vehicles, vessels, or equipment or guarantee security,  we only rent space as available.

Owners should do their own due diligence to prevent theft and/ or damage.

Any items deposited on harbour property without payment or authorization will be deemed to be abandoned and treated accordingly.

No storage of goods or equipment on docks.

No motorized vehicles on timber docks.

The harbour authority has a zero tolerance for pollution, abusive or confrontational behaviour and chronic non- compliance.

Parking

There is no longer overflow parking on Lee Road.

All vehicles must have a valid parking pass/ ramp pass or will be subject to violation or removal at owner’s risk and expense.

Parking is colour coded. Regular vehicle pay parking is yellow lined parking stalls only.

Valid insurance required on all vehicles and equipment.

Paid moorage includes one courtesy parking pass for the duration of prepaid moorage- except for punch- card moorage which does not include parking. The Authority reserves the right to limit or prohibit overnight or long stay parking depending on operational conditions.

All Vessels

All vessels must have minimum 2-million-dollar liability insurance and produce upon request.

No living aboard permitted.

Vessels must be in seaworthy condition and able to safely maneuver in  the harbour under own power at all times, except for pre-approved maintenance periods.

No absentee vessel ownership permitted,  for safety and operational reasons, if you do not live locally you will need to file a designated representative form at the office, appointing a local representative who will attend to your vessel.

Most of the harbour is rafted moorage and where rafting occurs vessels are required to have free and unencumbered access across vessel.

No anchoring in harbour.

Spill supplies available for purchase at the harbour office.

Waste area are for reasonable vessel waste only, no residential, commercial or industrial waste. Violators will be fined, and access will be revoked.

You must attend your vessel regularly to check its condition.

Vessels and operators must comply with government requirements for safety equipment and operator proficiency. Proof must be provided upon request.

Payment & accounts

       
The Harbour Authority accepts Visa, Mastercard, Debit, Cash, Cheques and etransfers using hafc@frenchcreekharbour.ca

Invoices are payable within 30 days and 2% interest charged on overdue accounts.

Each moorage account will be invoiced at the end of each month for services at the best available rate, based on usage. 

Non-payment

Use of the facilities may be terminated for non- payment.

Vessels with unpaid moorage are subject to seizure under the Warehouse Lien Act.

The Authority will pursue all available remedies for non- payment and noncompliance.

the fuel dock

The fuel dock offers gas and diesel and is owned and operated by French Creek Seafoods, call: 250-248-2888

Sea-ice/salt ice and fresh & frozen seafood available through French Creek Seafoods.

the Lasqueti ferry

The Lasqueti passenger ferry is owned and operated by Western Pacific Marine. If you have questions, contact their office at 1-604-681-5199 or their schedule may be found online using the link below:

During peak times,  the ferry may offer boarding passes on the dock. Ferry fares are payable only with cash after you board the vessel.

Please arrive early and allow enough time to pay for parking.
