FRENCH CREEK HARBOUR AUTHORITY
We are the largest and most complex marine facility in the area, spanning a site in excess of 21 hectares and containing over 2.5km of docks.
We're at the center of a wide cross section of marine related activities.
We are a rafting harbour and as such, the majority of the harbour is not private slips or assigned moorage. Here boats tie in a linear dockage manner which is" nose to tail" alongside the dock, then as more boats arrive, they find a boat of similar size on the eligible docks, put out fenders and raft alongside.
Generally speaking, we do not offer private moorage slips or take reservations, moorage here is in high demand and long term recreational moorage requires an application be approved in advance of using the docks.
Seafood - fresh at the dock!
Find out when there's fresh seafood for sale right from the boat.
Our boat ramp is a very popular and busy service. Use of the boat ramp requires daily fee or annual pass.
We are home to a large and ever growing number of commercial and recreational vessels as well as some fishing charter and eco-tourism boats. French Creek Seafoods is onsite and offers a well stocked retail store, and a fuel dock while also serving commercial fishers with processing and exporting, our location is proud to be home for the Canadian Coast Guard station and the Lasqueti Island passenger ferry.
Our facility is a critical hub of marine activities for the Parksville-Qualicum Oceanside District 69 area.
Our harbour is continually evolving as the needs of our community change over time.
The Harbour Authority is a careful steward of the facility and has both a paid staff and a volunteer board of Directors that oversee operations.
The Harbour is bustling during the summer and it is a good time to experience the comprehensive nature of our facility.
The Harbour Authority of French Creek is committed to equal opportunity employment, and environmental best practices.
